DJI has just published a major new firmware update for its flagship Mavic 3 drone. The update includes Pro settings and RAW photo capture for the zoom camera, as well as HLG support for the primary camera, among dozens of new features listed in full below.
When the Mavic 3 was first unveiled in November 2021, enthusiasts were disappointed to learn that several of the drone’s most exciting capabilities would not be available at launch and would instead be added by future updates.
The 162mm tele lens with f/4.4 aperture and 28x Hybrid Zoom has remained sadly underutilized until now, but with this latest update, it’s finally starting to make paying the Mavic 3’s hefty price tag all the more worthwhile.
Keen to try out the new features? In addition to updating the drone’s firmware, you’ll need to update your RC-N1 remote controller firmware to v04.13.0600 or your DJI RC Pro remote controller firmware to v03.01.0700. You will also need to update the DJI Fly app (both iOS and Android) to v1.6.4 to see the new features.
